Henan Vocational College of Art is a public higher vocational college of art approved by the provincial government and registered by the Ministry of Education. It currently has two campuses at No. 132 Zhengkai Avenue, Zhengdong New District, Zhengzhou City and No. 79 Wenhua Road, Jinshui District, Zhengzhou City, covering an area of 549,800 square meters, with an area of 281,200 square meters for teaching and administrative use. It has a superior geographical location and rich economic, cultural and educational resources. The teaching and scientific research equipment assets are 53.6 million yuan, the library has a collection of 460,300 books, and multimedia classrooms, network laboratories, studios, lecture halls, sports fields, piano rooms, practice rooms, studios and other facilities are all available. The college has a strong faculty, with 648 faculty and staff members in the school headquarters, including 584 full-time teachers, 166 associate senior titles or above, and 29 professors. There are 9 secondary colleges with 34 majors (including directions) including news media, opera, music, fine arts, drama, film and television art, cultural communication, art design, and dance, with more than 10,000 full-time students. Since its establishment, the college has always implemented the Party’s education policy, adhered to the socialist direction of running schools, adhered to distinctive artistic characteristics, and with a rigorous academic spirit, has cultivated a large number of technical experts and backbone forces who have been committed to the front line of culture and art, and trained a group of famous Henan opera performing artists, singers and film and television actors such as Liu Zhonghe, Wang Quanzhen, Wang Hui, Li Na (singing actor), Meng Xiangli, Yang Shuaxue, Ding Lan, Zhang Li, Li Guangjie, and Jiang Xin.
