Guangxi Industry and Commerce Vocational and Technical College is a state-run full-time general college with a higher vocational college level. The school is located in Nanning, the capital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and is affiliated to the Autonomous Region Grain and Material Reserve Bureau, which is managed by the Autonomous Region Development and Reform Commission. The school originated from the Guangxi Provincial Grain Cadre Training Class founded in June 1953. It has gone through the cadre education and secondary vocational education development stages of Guangxi Provincial Grain Cadre School, Guangxi Grain School, Guangxi Trade and Economics School, and has gone through the development process of withdrawal, reopening, and renaming. Another school-running foundation of the school is the Guangxi Litang Grain Technical School established in September 1978. The school was renamed Guangxi Grain Technical School in December 1978 and Guangxi Economic and Trade Technical School in January 1994. In June 2004, with the approval of the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Guangxi Industry and Trade Vocational and Technical College was established on the basis of merging Guangxi Economic and Trade Technical School into Guangxi Trade and Economics School. In March 2006, Guangxi Industry and Trade Vocational and Technical College was renamed Guangxi Industry and Commerce Vocational and Technical College. The school has four campuses, namely Pengfei, Zhongyao, Xincun and Wuming, covering an area of more than 1,600 acres. Among them, Pengfei Campus (main campus) is located at No. 15 Pengfei Road, Xixiangtang District, Nanning City, Zhongyao Campus is located at No. 15 Zhongyao Road, Xixiangtang District, Nanning City, Xincun Campus is located at No. 8 Xincun Road, Xixiangtang District, Nanning City, and Wuming Campus is located at No. 588 Hongling Avenue, Wuming District, Nanning City. The school currently has 9 secondary colleges, including the School of Accounting, the School of Management, the School of Economics and Trade, the School of Finance, the School of Information and Design, the School of Grain, Oil, Health and Tourism, the School of Marxism, the School of General Education, and the School of Continuing Education. It offers more than 30 majors, including big data and accounting, business management, marketing, e-commerce, advertising art design, grain storage and transportation and quality safety, and food inspection and testing technology. There are more than 20,000 full-time students. The school has an excellent teaching team led by Guangxi's famous teachers, outstanding scholars, and outstanding teachers and educators of the autonomous region. Senior professional and technical personnel account for 25% of the total number of faculty and staff, and more than 60% have a postgraduate degree or above. It is the deputy chairman unit of the National Grain Industry Steering Committee, the chairman unit of the Grain and Oil Purchasing and Logistics Professional Committee of the National Grain Industry Steering Committee, and the executive director unit of the National Commercial Vocational Education Group. Since its establishment, the school has always adhered to the leadership of the Party, resolutely implemented the Party's education policy, adhered to the original mission of educating people for the Party and cultivating talents for the country, and implemented the fundamental task of cultivating people with moral integrity. After 70 years of arduous reform and development, talent training and other undertakings have made great progress, and have made positive contributions to the economic and social development of Guangxi, especially the development of grain and material reserves. It has been fully affirmed by the superiors and widely recognized by all sectors of society. It has won the honorary titles of Outstanding Contribution Unit for the Cultivation of National Skilled Talents, Advanced Unit of Guangxi Vocational and Technical Education, Civilized Unit of the Autonomous Region, Advanced Grassroots Party Organization of Guangxi Universities, Safe and Civilized Campus of Guangxi Universities, Excellent Health School of the Autonomous Region, and Garden-style Unit of Nanning City. It has been identified as a national and Guangxi food security publicity and education base, a pilot school for the modern apprenticeship system of the Ministry of Education, a digital campus construction experimental school for vocational colleges of the Central Audio-visual Education Museum, and a continuing education base for professional and technical personnel in the autonomous region. There are many advanced collectives, such as China's 100 Outstanding Youth Volunteer Service Groups and Advanced Groups for Ideological and Political Theory Courses in Guangxi Universities. It has passed the project acceptance of the construction of high-level professional groups in Guangxi and has been rated as an outstanding unit for employment and entrepreneurship of graduates from ordinary colleges and universities in the autonomous region for 14 times.
