Heilongjiang Communications Vocational and Technical College is a public higher vocational college affiliated to the Education Department of Heilongjiang Province. Founded in 1946, it is one of the higher vocational colleges with the longest history of running schools in my country's railway transportation industry. There are more than 17,100 full-time ordinary higher vocational students, making it a larger higher vocational college in Heilongjiang Province. In 2014, it became the first batch of excellent backbone higher vocational colleges in Heilongjiang Province, and in 2018 it was selected as a pilot unit of the national modern apprenticeship system. In 2021, it became the first batch of excellent high-level higher vocational colleges in Heilongjiang Province. In recent years, the college has successively won the honorary titles of "Advanced Unit for Management and Education", "Collective Award for Teaching Management Quality" and "Advanced Collective for Student Work" in Heilongjiang Province. The college has outstanding professional characteristics. The college is a higher vocational college for railway operations, with a complete range of railway majors, ranking among the best in the country. It has opened 22 majors for railway transportation enterprises, railway engineering enterprises, grain engineering enterprises, information engineering enterprises, and equipment manufacturing enterprises, keeping up with industry needs and having a broad employment market. The college has a strong faculty and currently has 738 faculty and staff. Among them, there are 623 full-time and part-time teachers, 166 professors and associate professors, 36.6% of teachers have master's degrees or above, 286 "double-qualified" teachers; 1 national outstanding teacher, 9 provincial teaching masters, 1 young teaching master, 3 industry teaching masters, and 1 Longjiang technical expert. The college has complete training bases. There are 156 on-campus training bases and training rooms and 141 off-campus training bases; the locomotive maintenance training base is a national-level productive training base, the electrified railway contact network training base is a provincial-level productive training base, the railway locomotive simulation driving center and the high-speed rail train reception and dispatching simulation training center are provincial-level virtual simulation centers, and the railway comprehensive drill field, train operation automatic control, railway vehicle maintenance, railway signal equipment maintenance, railway engineering inspection and other on-campus training bases are in an advanced position among the national railway vocational colleges. The college has high employment quality. The college inherits the railway tradition, condenses the iron-colored campus culture, and strengthens the dual cultivation of morality and skills. Students are trained on an order-based basis, under an apprenticeship system and under quasi-military management. Graduates have won praise from employers for their strong application capabilities and high comprehensive quality. In recent years, the employment rate of graduates has remained at the forefront of the province. More than 75% of graduates are employed by large state-owned enterprises such as railways. 62 graduates have won the highest honor of the national railway, the "locomotive" medal, or honors such as advanced individuals of various railway bureaus. Many graduates have become the backbone of production technology and management of enterprises.
