---Cradle of Green Talents Shanxi Forestry Vocational and Technical College is the only higher vocational college in Shanxi that trains ecological construction talents in an all-round way. Its predecessor was Shanxi Forestry School founded in 1952. In 2002, with the approval of the provincial government, it was restructured and promoted to a higher forestry vocational and technical college at the junior college level. The college is located in the central urban area of Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province, on the bank of the Fen River, adjacent to Fenhe Park in the west and Forest Park in the north, covering an area of more than 170 acres. There are currently 6 teaching departments and 3 teaching departments, offering 35 majors. The faculty is strong, with 321 faculty members, 235 full-time teachers, 65 senior professional titles (including 4 professors), and 199 people with master's degrees or above (including 5 doctors). The college has complete practical training and teaching facilities, 65 on-campus training rooms, and 75 off-campus training bases. It focuses on skill training and participates in various vocational skill competitions at all levels and above the provincial level, and has repeatedly achieved good results.
