The school is located in the University Town of Fuzhou City, with a campus area of 1122.08 acres (of which 400 acres are under relocation), with a total construction area of about 250,000 square meters. The school currently has 13 teaching institutions, including the School of Intelligent Engineering, the School of Information Engineering, the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, the School of Transportation Engineering, the School of Civil Engineering, the School of Culture and Tourism, the School of Business, the School of Special Education, and the School of Marxism. The school enrolls students from the province and 17 provinces and autonomous regions including Zhejiang, Hainan, Jiangxi, Anhui, Yunnan, Guangxi, Guizhou, Sichuan, Hunan, Henan, Shanxi, Gansu, Ningxia, Qinghai, Xinjiang, and Tibet, with 41 enrollment majors (dynamic adjustment). There are 591 faculty and staff; 11,785 full-time higher vocational students (including 105 registered international students, and a total of 196 international students have been trained), and 10,917 students of various adult education. The school received an excellent grade in the mid-term performance evaluation of the national "Double High Plan" professional group construction. Won the title of Excellent School in the First Round of National Talent Training Level Assessment of Higher Vocational Colleges, the first batch of pilot units of the modern apprenticeship system of the Ministry of Education, a model modern higher vocational college in Fujian Province, a unit of the May 1st Labor Award of Fujian Province, and was awarded the title of Civilized Campus of Fujian Province for five consecutive sessions. It has won the Fujian Higher Vocational College Skills Competition Group Award for 13 consecutive years, and ranked 16th, 19th and 26th in the National Vocational College Skills Competition in 2017, 2018 and 2019. In August 2022, it won the silver medal in the cloud computing event of the first World Vocational College Skills Competition. In the employment and entrepreneurship competitions such as the China International "Internet +" College Students' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition and the Fujian College Students' Career Planning Competition, the results ranked among the top higher vocational colleges in the province. The school practices the school motto of “Mingde, Liyi, Houshi, Xingxing”, adheres to the principle of “seeking support through service and development through innovation”, and has established a school-running model in which the government, schools, industries and enterprises work together to educate people. It has established the “Fuzhou Vocational and Technical College Government-School-Enterprise Cooperation School Council” with the mayor as the chairman, the deputy mayor in charge as the executive chairman, 30 government departments and 36 leading enterprises in related industries participating; it has jointly established 4 industries and 3 parks with relevant government departments, industries and enterprises.
