Zhengzhou Preschool Teachers College is located in Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan Province. It was founded in 1954. Mr. Guo Moruo wrote the name of the school. It is the first preschool teacher training school in Henan Province after the founding of New China and one of the first seven preschool teacher training schools in China. It is the first batch of normal schools that have passed the comprehensive evaluation of the school-running level of the Henan Provincial Department of Education and reached the excellent level. It is a cooperative project school between China and the United Nations Children's Fund, and a national demonstration vocational education group (alliance) cultivation unit. It is the Henan Preschool Teacher Training Center, the Henan Preschool Inclusive Education Development Support Center, the Henan Preschool Education Group, the Zhengzhou Preschool Education Group and the Zhengzhou Preschool Education Research Institute. It is the provincial training base for kindergarten principals in Henan Province, the training base for key teachers in vocational colleges in Henan Province, the training base for "double-qualified" teachers in vocational colleges in Henan Province, and the secretariat of the Henan Education Society Preschool Education Professional Committee and the Henan Education Society Dance Education Professional Committee. The school has always adhered to the socialist direction of running schools, based on the local area, facing the whole country, serving the development of preschool education and local economic and social construction; formed a professional system with normal education as the main, non-normal education as the supplement, preschool education as the guide, art education as the feature, and coordinated development of various majors; cultivated preschool teachers and other applied professionals with comprehensive development of morality, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics and labor, and love for preschool education; committed to building a higher vocational college with great influence in the field of preschool education and leading role in the province and beyond. Since its establishment, the school has provided nearly 150,000 qualified preschool teachers to the society and trained 145,000 in-service preschool teachers at all levels and types. Many graduates have become principals, experts, and backbones, playing a leading role in preschool education. The school currently has more than 9,000 full-time students, and offers 15 majors in preschool education, early education, special education, music education, art education, dance education, Chinese education, English education, music performance, dance performance, tourism English, art design, computer application technology, physical education, and science education. In 2019, the school was recognized as a provincial-level high-quality vocational college in Henan Province. In 2020, the preschool education major group was selected into the "Double High" construction project in Henan Province. The school has excellent school conditions and complete infrastructure. Each classroom is equipped with multimedia teaching equipment. There are 702 pianos and 731 digital pianos. There are 2 municipal key experimental training centers, 285 on-campus training rooms, 111 off-campus internship bases, and 3 affiliated kindergartens. The school currently has two campuses, Duling and Xianghu, covering an area of 380 acres and a total planned building area of more than 230,000 square meters. The total value of the school's fixed assets is 309.54 million, of which the asset value of teaching and scientific research equipment has reached 63.155 million yuan, more than 800,000 paper books of various types, 700,000 electronic books, 5,599 audio-visual materials, more than 1,800 Chinese paper journals, and multiple Chinese and foreign electronic journal databases such as China Knowledge Network and Wanfang. At present, the total number of broadband access in Xianghu and Duling campuses is 4.3G. The bandwidth of Xianghu campus is 2.2G, and the bandwidth of Duling campus is 2.1G. There are 2,663 wired network information points in total; there are 480 wireless network APs in total, achieving coverage of wired and wireless networks. The school currently has 436 faculty members, 96 professors and associate professors (including 1 second-level professor and 2 third-level professors), 238 people with postgraduate degrees and degrees, and 9 doctors. A group of experts and scholars who are well-known in all walks of life have been teaching in the school for a long time. The school cooperates with the University of Bedfordshire in the UK to organize international cooperative education projects, offering preschool education and English education majors; cooperates with Waikato Institute of Technology in New Zealand to organize international education projects, offering music education majors; and cooperates with universities such as the University of Cordoba and the University of Malaga in Spain to organize master's degree programs. In addition, the school has carried out various forms of cultural exchanges and cooperation with institutions such as the Belarusian State Normal University, the Royal Aarhus Conservatory of Music in Denmark, the Estonian National Academy of Music and Drama, the Hosan University in South Korea, and the Zhiyuan Education Institute in Singapore. The school is one of the first batch of higher vocational education characteristic schools in Henan Province. It has long been committed to the cause of early childhood education in Henan Province.
