Fuzhou Vocational and Technical College is a public full-time general higher vocational college approved by the Jiangxi Provincial People's Government and registered by the Ministry of Education of China. It integrates science and engineering, economics and trade, tour guide, art, and education, and focuses on cultivating advanced applied technical and management talents. The college was established in June 2003 on the basis of the resources of the former Jiangxi Provincial Key Technical Secondary School Fuzhou Economic and Trade School, Fuzhou Agricultural School, and Fuzhou Art School. In June 2007, it integrated and merged the resources of the national key technical school Jiangxi Mechanical and Electronic Technical School and Fuzhou Technical School (in 2019, the Fuzhou Municipal Government separated it from the college). In 2023, the college was listed as a high-level professional group construction unit in Jiangxi Province. The college is located at No. 276 Donglin Road, Fuzhou City, covering an area of 614,030.7 square meters, with a building area of about 340,000 square meters. It offers 32 higher vocational majors, with a total of 532 faculty and staff, including 449 full-time teachers, 94 senior professional titles, 171 graduate students, 262 dual-qualified teachers, and more than 12,300 students. It has 1 major supported by the central government, 2 provincial high-level professional groups, 1 specialty specialty, and 2 backbone majors. The college has 7 secondary branches, including the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, the School of Economics and Management, the School of Art and Design, the School of Aviation and Tourism, the School of Information Engineering, the School of Preschool Education, and the School of Automotive Engineering. It has opened 32 majors, including industrial robots, numerical control technology, mold design and manufacturing (3D printing direction), computer application technology, virtual reality application technology, flight attendants, tourism management, accounting, e-commerce, automobile inspection and maintenance, architectural design, and preschool education. The college actively carries out the training of order talents, and has opened order classes such as Jiangling CNC, BYD Auto, Lichuan Oil Painting, Fuzhou Opera, and Zixi Bread Baking Technology. At the same time, it actively established industrial colleges, jointly built the "Zixi Bread Industry College" with Zixi County Government and Zixi Bread Technology Co., Ltd., and jointly built the "Wangmeng Industry College" with Shanghai Wangmeng Technology Co., Ltd., and signed a strategic cooperation agreement with BYD Technology Co., Ltd., and is actively promoting the construction of "BYD Industry College". The college has a training center, academic lecture hall, concert hall, art center, building intelligent training center, modern service comprehensive training center, industrial robot training center, VBSE virtual business social environment training center, modern logistics training center, e-commerce training center, automobile comprehensive training center, tea art training room and other professional teaching training and experimental places, a total of 42. There are 1 national vocational education internship training base, 1 national virtual simulation training center, 1 provincial first-class e-commerce training center and industrial robot training virtual simulation training center, 1 national defense education hall and 9 Fuzhou local opera, Nuo dance performance and other master studios. Since its establishment in 2003, under the cordial care of the Provincial Department of Education and the Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security and the strong leadership of the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government, the college has adhered to the school-running philosophy of "based in the high-tech zone and serving Fuzhou City", constantly pioneering and forging ahead, and has achieved remarkable results in all aspects of school management.
