Xiamen Software Vocational and Technical College was established in August 2002, and in March 2006, the People's Government of Fujian Province approved the formal establishment of the school. In April 2013, the school was registered as a public institution from a private non-enterprise. In September 2016, the People's Government of Xiamen decided to be held by Lianfa Group, a core member of the state-owned enterprise Xiamen Jianfa Group. In recent years, Lianfa Group has invested a total of 1.2 billion yuan in the school's foundation and connotation construction. The school is located in the University City of Jimei Cultural and Educational District, Xiamen, covering an area of 650 acres and a planned building area of 460,000 square meters. The school has three secondary colleges, including the School of Software Engineering, the School of Digital Creativity, and the School of Economics and Management. It has established six professional groups, including software technology professional group, artificial intelligence professional group, digital media professional group, design art professional group, e-commerce professional group, and intelligent finance professional group. There are 30 enrollment majors, more than 14,000 students, and 526 full-time teachers. The initial employment rate of graduates from 2020 to 2022 reached more than 93%, and the number of students from junior college to undergraduate ranked among the best in similar institutions. In the past five years, the school has won 10 first prizes, 30 second prizes, and 54 third prizes in the Fujian Vocational College Skills Competition.
