Anyang Preschool Teachers College is located in Anyang City, Henan Province, the earliest capital in Chinese history, one of the eight ancient capitals of China, the hometown of oracle bone inscriptions, the birthplace of Zhouyi, the birthplace of the spirit of the Red Flag Canal, and the hometown of Yue Fei, who served his country with great loyalty. It is a full-time public municipal general college approved by the Henan Provincial People's Government and registered by the Ministry of Education. The school was founded in 1978 and was formerly known as Anyang Normal School. In 1988, it was renamed Anyang No. 1 Normal School, and in 2002 it was renamed Anyang Preschool Teachers School. In February 2012, it was upgraded to a preschool teacher college in the first batch in the province. The school currently covers an area of 500.4 acres (with a new campus of more than 1,000 acres planned), with a total construction area of more than 226,000 square meters, a library with a collection of 940,800 books, and teaching equipment with a total value of about 62 million yuan. There are 72 off-campus internship and training bases and 2 affiliated provincial demonstration kindergartens. The school cooperates with Humphreys University in the United States to organize international cooperative education projects and offers a preschool education major.
