1. History Tianfu New District Information Vocational College is organized by Sichuan Chengxin Tianfu Education Investment Co., Ltd. and was officially established in May 2018 after approval by the Sichuan Provincial People's Government and filing with the Ministry of Education. The college is located at No. 2 University Town Road, Shigao Economic Development Zone, Tianfu New District, Sichuan. Mr. Lan Wencai, the legal person of the company, has been engaged in higher education research and practice for a long time and has rich experience in education management. As early as 2006, it jointly established the Automobile Branch of Sichuan Normal University Vocational and Technical College with Sichuan Normal University, and actively explored the training model of applied talents. He is committed to actively exploring the innovative mechanism of modern talent training with advanced school-running concepts, scientific training models, pragmatic teaching styles and professional construction that adapts to market needs, and strives to establish a vocational college with distinctive school-running characteristics and close industrial connections. 2. Current status of the college The school covers an area of more than 800 acres, with a planned total construction area of about 410,000 square meters. The existing school building area is 173,654.21 square meters. Among them, the teaching and auxiliary, administrative and office rooms are 103,576.72 square meters, 24.44 square meters per student; sports venues are 21,537.54 square meters (gymnasium 5,857.48 square meters, stadium 5,857.48 square meters); student dormitories are 62,698.42 square meters, 14.8 square meters per student; student canteens are 7,388.45 square meters. Teaching buildings, scientific research buildings, incubation buildings, student dormitories, training buildings, sports fields, libraries, and gymnasiums have been put into use. The college has a sound organization, with 8 management departments (Administrative Office, Personnel Department, Academic Affairs Office, Student Affairs Office (including Employment), Science and Technology Department, Planning and Finance Department, Admissions Office, Logistics and Security Department), 8 teaching departments (Department of Transportation Engineering, Department of Intelligent Engineering, Department of Economics and Management, Department of Information Engineering, Department of Humanities, School of Marxism, School of Basic Studies, School of National Defense Education), 3 auxiliary teaching departments (Library, Network Management Center and Training College), 5 party and mass departments (Party Office, Propaganda and United Front Department, Organization Department, Trade Union, Discipline Inspection and Supervision Office) and 4 logistics service units (Food Center, Dormitory Management Center, Property Service Center, and Infirmary). The college has 16 major training bases, including general training base, automobile training base, electronic control training base, cloud computing training base, etc., with a total of 87 rooms; 39 off-campus internship training bases; 152 multimedia classrooms; 1,309 computers, including 430 teaching computers, 10.15 computers per 100 students; the total value of equipment assets is 43.53 million yuan, 10,271.35 yuan per student. There are 310,732 paper books and 306,000 Chinese electronic books. The average number of books in both paper and electronic forms in the collection is 102.2. There are also 3,563 electronic journals, 19,820 dissertations, and 3,540 hours of audio and video.
