Wanxi Health Vocational College is a public full-time general higher vocational college approved by the Anhui Provincial People's Government and registered by the Ministry of Education in March 2010. Its predecessor was the first batch of national key full-time technical secondary schools founded in 1958-Anhui Lu'an Health School. The college is located in Lu'an City, which is beautiful and culturally rich. It is a famous revolutionary old area in the country, an important source of the Chinese revolution, and an important birthplace of the people's army. It enjoys the reputation of "the cradle of the Red Army and the hometown of generals". The college has outstanding achievements in running schools. It is one of the six national education reform contact schools determined by the former Ministry of Health, a training base for skilled and scarce talents in the nursing field determined by six ministries and commissions including the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health, a nursing training base supported by the central government recognized by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance, and a community nursing backbone training project funded school determined by the Ministry of Health and the Hong Kong Huaxia Foundation. The College's Affiliated Stomatological Hospital is a construction project to implement the province's "Ten Warm People's Hearts Actions". It is the only public secondary dental specialty hospital approved by the municipal government in the city. It integrates medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, prevention, and public welfare. It will be officially put into operation on November 6, 2023. The hospital has a construction area of 11,000 square meters, with 38 medical staff, seven specialty departments such as oral medicine and oral and maxillofacial surgery, 20 open beds, 3 standard operating rooms, and medical and auxiliary departments such as the disinfection supply center. The college actively carries out teaching reforms, external cooperation and exchanges.
