Langfang Health Vocational College was founded in 1961. Its predecessor was Tianjin Yangliuqing Health School. It moved to Langfang in 1969 and was renamed Langfang Health School in 1989. It was upgraded to a junior college in 2011. It is currently the only public medical and health vocational college in the city. The college is located on the banks of Fenghe River in Langfang Economic and Technological Development Zone. There are currently 8,189 students, mainly from Hebei, and also covering the remaining 21 provinces and cities in China. The college currently has 5 departments including nursing, rehabilitation therapy, pharmacy, medical technology, and clinical medicine, and 4 teaching departments including public foundation, medical foundation, ideological and political theory teaching department, and adult education department. There are 10 majors including nursing, midwifery, clinical medicine, stomatology, traditional Chinese medicine, pharmacy, medical laboratory technology, medical imaging technology, medical cosmetology technology, and rehabilitation therapy technology. Among them, the nursing major is a national key major. The college focuses on practical teaching and currently has 10 on-campus training centers, including 2 education training bases supported by the central government. There are currently 2 affiliated hospitals, 17 teaching hospitals, 63 internship bases and cooperative education units. The college has strengthened the construction of the teaching staff, with 40% of them having a master's degree or above and 48% having associate senior titles or above. The college currently has 1 national teaching master, 1 provincial model teacher, 2 provincial outstanding teachers, and 9 young and middle-aged experts with outstanding contributions in Langfang. The college currently has 1 national-level boutique online learning open course and 13 college-level boutique courses. The teaching team and teachers have won 4 national health professional competition awards and 5 provincial teaching ability competition awards. The college adheres to the school motto of "establishing morality and self-cultivation, being knowledgeable and strong in skills", has been deeply engaged in medical vocational education for 60 years, based in Langfang, facing Hebei, radiating Beijing, Tianjin and the central and western regions, and has provided a large number of excellent high-quality, high-tech skilled talents for the development of the national health and health industry. The college has been identified by the Ministry of Education as a pilot college for the "1+X" certificate. It is a governing unit of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Health Vocational Education Alliance, a vice-chairman unit of the Hebei Health Vocational Education Group, a governing unit of the Hebei Sports and Health Vocational Education Group, a governing unit of the Vocational Education Branch of the Hebei Education and Culture International Exchange and Cooperation Association, and a vice-chairman unit of the Langfang Vocational Education Group. It is a teaching and training experimental base for vocational guidance work, a vocational skills training workstation for the health industry, and a vocational college for the training of skilled and scarce talents in the nursing field.
