Anhui Radio, Film and Television Vocational and Technical College is a public higher vocational college under the supervision of the Anhui Provincial Department of Education and receives business guidance from the Anhui Provincial Radio and Television Bureau. It is also one of the earliest colleges and universities in the country to organize higher vocational education in radio, film and television. It is the first in East China. The only full-time public general higher vocational school specializing in radio, film and television. The college has a long history of running schools. It was founded in 1960 and was called Anhui Provincial Intermediate Broadcasting School. In 1984, the school was renamed Anhui Radio and Television School and recruits students from all over the province. In July 2002, with the approval of the Anhui Provincial People's Government and the Ministry of Education, it was upgraded to Anhui Radio, Film and Television Vocational and Technical College, enrolling students nationwide.
