Heze Home Economics Vocational College was founded in 2007. Its predecessor was Shandong Heze Health School, which was established in 1958. It has a history of more than 60 years. The school covers an area of 744 acres and a building area of more than 100,000 square meters. There are more than 100 experimental (training) rooms and more than 2,000 sets of experimental instruments and equipment. There are 487 faculty and staff. There are nearly 15,000 full-time students, and students are enrolled in 20 provinces (autonomous regions) across the country. The college is a pilot unit for the "1+x" vocational skill level certificate for elderly care, maternal and child care, care for demented elderly people, and infant care of the Ministry of Education, a research center of the China Home Service Industry Association, a provincial spiritual civilization unit, a provincial advanced unit of vocational education, a provincial demonstration base for home economics training, a provincial labor training institution for dispatched labor, and a provincial entrepreneurship training base for workers. The school system is sound and complete. The college has solidly promoted the modernization of the governance system and governance capabilities, and established a two-level management system of colleges and departments with clear rights and responsibilities and scientific and effective. A teaching point has been set up in the Vocational Education Park in Mudan District, Heze City. In October 2020, the municipal government passed a study to relocate our college to the urban area of Heze City. The professional setting has outstanding advantages. There are 26 college majors and 13 technical secondary school majors, including nursing, midwifery, stomatology, acupuncture and massage, rehabilitation therapy technology, medical testing technology, stomatology technology, medical imaging technology, pharmacy, drug production technology, housekeeping service and management, elderly service and management, flight attendants, high-speed railway passenger service, and early education, covering major categories such as medical and health public services, pharmaceutical manufacturing, transportation, culture and art, finance and commerce, and education. It has created four major professional groups of medicine and health, medical and nursing integration, modern services, and early education, and built an overpass for secondary vocational education, higher vocational education, and undergraduate vocational education. Among them, the rehabilitation therapy technology major is a "three-two" professional and undergraduate through-training major, nursing, housekeeping service and management majors are majors that are supported by the central government, rehabilitation therapy technology, housekeeping service and management majors are key majors in the National Innovation and Development Action Plan and provincial characteristic construction majors, and the elderly service and management major is a national demonstration major for elderly care services. The structure of the teaching staff is reasonable. The college pays attention to the construction of the teaching staff, deeply implements the "bringing wisdom into the school" project, the "talent revitalization" plan and the "famous teachers" strategy, introduces and trains a group of professional leaders and backbone teachers with industry influence in China, and forms a new era teacher echelon with high moral character, superb professional skills, a combination of full-time and part-time teachers, and rich innovation. Among them, there are 109 professors and associate professors, 150 postgraduates or above, 189 "double-qualified" teachers, 3 excellent teachers at the municipal level or above, 5 teaching masters, and 8 top talents at the county level or above. Remarkable achievements have been made in talent training. The college has paid close attention to the quality of talent training, adhered to the integration of production and education, school-enterprise cooperation, teaching students in accordance with their aptitude, combining education and training, and ranked among the top in professional skill competitions such as nursing, midwifery, rehabilitation, stomatology, and housekeeping at or above the provincial level. It has trained and sent nearly 100,000 high-quality skilled talents to front-line industries such as medicine, health, and social services, and has completed 65 scientific research projects at or above the provincial level. It has edited and participated in the editing of more than 100 textbooks and books, and published more than 500 papers in various journals at all levels. It has created 5 provincial-level quality courses and 13 college-level quality courses, becoming a shining pearl on the front line of vocational education in southwest Shandong. To implement the "top leader" project for employment work, a three-level employment service network of "employment office, department specialist, and counselor" has been established, employment and entrepreneurship guidance has been carried out regularly, and online and offline employment promotion meetings have been actively organized to matchmake for graduates, and long-term cooperative relations have been established with well-known enterprises inside and outside the province. The employment rate of graduates has reached more than 86% for three consecutive years. The cooperation and exchanges are extensive and in-depth. The college has continuously expanded its external cooperation and exchanges, and has carried out in-depth cooperation with Suzhou Erye Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Beijing Oriental Montessori Information Science Research Institute, Shandong Lingyan Aviation Co., Ltd., Shuifa Group Co., Ltd., etc., and has built a new talent training system of "joint construction of majors, joint compilation of textbooks, joint training of teachers, and joint cultivation of talents".
