Chizhou Vocational and Technical College is a public full-time general college approved by the Provincial People's Government in July 2002. It is a school construction unit of Anhui Province's "Double High Plan", a construction unit of Anhui Province's skill-based high-level university, a demonstration higher vocational college in Anhui Province, and the first batch of higher vocational and technical colleges in Anhui Province. The school has won many honorary titles, including "Advanced Unit of Vocational Education in Anhui Province", "Advanced Collective of Graduate Employment in Anhui Province", "National Defense Education Characteristic School", the 11th "Anhui Civilized Unit", and "Anhui Civilized Campus". The school has a long history of running schools. Its predecessors, Chizhou Normal School and Chizhou Agricultural School, were both founded in 1917. It has a history of 103 years and has cultivated a large number of outstanding talents for the country. The school is now located in Chizhou, China's first ecological economic demonstration zone, China's excellent tourist city, a national garden city, a historical and cultural city in Anhui Province, and a national sponge city construction pilot city. The city has a beautiful environment, profound cultural heritage, and convenient and developed transportation. The school covers an area of more than 770 acres and a construction area of more than 250,000 square meters. Among them, the teaching and administrative buildings are 113,000 square meters, and the total value of teaching equipment is 120 million yuan. It has facilities such as libraries, swimming pools, gymnasiums, and standard track and field stadiums. The campus environment is beautiful and tidy, and the teaching and living facilities are complete. The school has a strong faculty, with 477 full-time and part-time teachers, including 12 professors, more than 90 associate professors and industry experts. At present, our school has more than 40 majors, covering 11 major categories such as electronic information, agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery, civil engineering, equipment manufacturing, transportation, finance and trade, tourism, health, culture and art, education and sports, and about 12,000 full-time students. The school has 101 on-campus experimental training rooms and a national-level vocational skills appraisal institute. It actively implements the national vocational education reform implementation plan and vigorously promotes the "1+X" vocational skills level certification pilot project. The school has carried out industry-university-research cooperation with nearly 100 well-known enterprises and institutions inside and outside the province, and established a talent co-education mechanism. In accordance with the training goals of higher vocational education, the school insists on employment-oriented, broadens employment channels, provides entrepreneurial support, and comprehensively provides employment and entrepreneurship guidance and services. The employment rate of graduates has always remained above 95%. In recent years, the quality and level of employment have steadily improved, and graduates are in short supply.
