The Air Force Service College of the Chinese People's Liberation Army was founded in 1954. It is a higher military academy that integrates air force logistics and equipment command, technology, and management, covering military science, engineering, economics, management and other disciplines. It shoulders the important task of cultivating high-quality new air force logistics and equipment support talents who can win battles. In October 1954, the Air Force Service College was established in Taiyuan, Shanxi. In the course of more than 50 years of development, the college has changed its name several times and has gone through four stages of initial establishment, reconstruction, adjustment and advancement, and rapid development. In December 2003, it was renamed Xuzhou Air Force College, and in April 2012, it was renamed Air Force Service College. It is positioned as a degree education institution, mainly responsible for the education of postgraduates and undergraduates in air force combat logistics and equipment support, as well as the training of new and incumbent cadres. It is one of the largest training institutions in the whole army. The college has a pleasant environment for running schools. The campus is located in the urban area of Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province, a national historical and cultural city and the birthplace of the "Han Dynasty" culture. It is backed by the Jiuli Mountain ancient battlefield to the north and faces the Longhai Railway and the old course of the Yellow River to the south. It covers an area of more than 1,300 acres. The campus is shaded by green trees and has an elegant environment. It is known as the "Northern Garden" of Xuzhou City.
