Jiangxi Software Vocational and Technical University is the first software vocational and technical university in China. It was founded in 2003 by Pioneer Software Co., Ltd., one of the top 100 software companies in China. At the beginning of its establishment, it was successfully selected as one of the 35 exemplary software vocational and technical colleges in China. In 2018, it was upgraded to a vocational undergraduate school, becoming one of the first 15 undergraduate-level vocational education colleges in the country. In May 2019, it was renamed Jiangxi Software Vocational and Technical University with the approval of the Ministry of Education. In June 2022, the school was approved as a bachelor's degree awarding unit for vocational undergraduate education. In 2022, the school built a teaching and scientific research training base in Jinggangshan. After two years of construction, the Jinggangshan base has been completed. It currently covers an area of about 782 acres and has a construction area of more than 350,000 square meters. The base has a beautiful environment and is equipped with modern teaching buildings, laboratory buildings, libraries, stadiums, student dormitories, teacher apartments and other complete teaching and living facilities. In January 2024, the school applied to set up the Jinggangshan Campus of Jiangxi Software Vocational and Technical University on the basis of the Jinggangshan Training Base, and completed the field investigation of the expert group of Jiangxi Provincial Department of Education; in February of the same year, with the consent of the Jiangxi Provincial People's Government, the Jinggangshan Campus of Jiangxi Software Vocational and Technical University was transferred to the Jiangxi Provincial "14th Five-Year Plan" college setting plan. The relevant materials have been submitted to the Ministry of Education and are currently awaiting approval from the Ministry of Education. At present, the school covers an area of 1,932 acres and a building area of 650,000 square meters. It has 12 secondary colleges such as software engineering, with 19,885 full-time students; 1,192 full-time teachers, of which 53% have a master's degree or above, 31% have senior professional and technical positions, and 55% have dual-teacher teachers. There are currently 20 vocational undergraduate majors and 22 higher vocational majors. There are experimental training bases (rooms) such as the National Sports Industry Demonstration Project E-sports Talent Training Base, the National Demonstration Virtual Simulation, and the Beidou General Aviation Key Laboratory. The school fully implements the party's education policy, always adheres to the attributes and characteristics of higher vocational education, upholds the school motto of "entrepreneurship, innovation, knowledge management", keeps in mind the mission of "learning software well and serving the motherland", adheres to the "school-enterprise integration, industry-university interaction" school-running model, and practices the "three good, one specialty, eleven projects" talent training system. It has condensed the "five pioneers" campus cultural education brand of learning pioneers, sports pioneers, happy pioneers, innovation pioneers, and labor pioneers, and formed a school-enterprise deep integration development path of "cultivating students with entrepreneurial education concepts", "inviting engineers as teachers", and "taking real projects for practical training". Since the promotion to undergraduate in 2018, the school has successively won the honors of Jiangxi Province's advanced unit for safe construction, provincial "dual-qualified" teacher training base, Jiangxi Province 1+X Certificate Alliance Leading School, the "big ideological and political course" practical teaching base at the doorstep of the province, Jiangxi Province's advanced unit for student apartment management, and Jiangxi Province's excellent employment work in colleges and universities. There is currently one national model branch for party building work, one of the first batch of benchmark colleges and departments and model branches in the province, one provincial high-level professional group, five provincial vocational college teacher teaching innovation teams, three provincial famous teacher studios, one provincial boutique online open course, and one provincial first-class core course in vocational education. It is the leading initiator of the "National Network Software Industry Industry-Education Integration Community". In 2023, our students won a total of 761 awards in various competitions such as vocational skills, including 107 national awards, 331 national industry awards, and 323 provincial awards. It has won three consecutive championships in the World University Esports League (WUCG) from 2019 to 2021. The school focuses on and revolves around the development of the digital economy, implements the "1269" action plan for the modernization of key industrial chains in the manufacturing industry in Jiangxi Province, and has formed a discipline and professional group mainly based on software technology and information technology. It has established the world's first blockchain college and enrolled the world's first batch of blockchain technology undergraduate students.
