Heilongjiang Agricultural Vocational and Technical College is located in Jiamusi City, which is known as the "Easternmost Point of China", "First City in the East" and "Little Yan'an in the Northeast", and is a charming city with the best ecological environment in China and a national smart city. The college is adjacent to Shuiyuanshan Park in the south and the railway station in the north, with beautiful scenery and convenient transportation. The college with a long history of running schools was founded in 1948. It has gone through the periods of Songjiang Hulan Agricultural and Forestry Technical School, Songjiang Jiamusi Agricultural and Forestry Senior Vocational School, Songjiang Agricultural Technology School, Northeast Agricultural College Hejiang Branch, Hejiang "May 7" Secondary Vocational School, Hejiang "May 7" University, Heilongjiang Jiamusi Agricultural School, etc. In March 2001, with the approval of the Heilongjiang Provincial People's Government, it was promoted from a secondary technical school to a higher vocational college in the province, and entered the ranks of general colleges and universities across the country.
