Langfang Yanjing Vocational and Technical College was established in February 2010 with the approval of the Hebei Provincial Government and is a public full-time general college registered with the Ministry of Education. It implements higher vocational (junior college) education. The college has a unique geographical location and obvious location advantages. It is located in Sanhe City, Hebei Province, the core area of the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, 20 kilometers east of Beijing, adjacent to the Beijing Urban Sub-Center, Beijing-Harbin, Beijing-Qinhuangdao Expressway, Beijing-Harbin Railway New Line, Beijing Light Rail Pinggu Line, all less than 10 kilometers away from the college. The school is surrounded by many national and provincial development zones such as Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone, Tianjin Binhai New Area, Langfang Economic and Technological Development Zone, and Yanjiao High-tech Development Zone. A large number of Fortune 500 companies and well-known domestic companies such as Huawei, Foxconn, BOE, ZTE, TRW, Toshiba, Siemens, BHP, LG, Ruhr, Hanwang Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Shenwei Pharmaceutical, Union Pharmaceutical, Yanda Group, Huifu Group, etc. have settled in the development zone. In 2019, our college was selected as an advanced unit of garden-style greening in Langfang City. The campus covers a total area of nearly 600 acres and a total construction area of 218,000 square meters. It has 8 multimedia teaching buildings and experimental teaching buildings, 80 high-standard professional internship training rooms, 12,000 square meters of modern training workshops, and a total value of teaching instruments and equipment of 21.37 million yuan. The college library has a construction area of 16,000 square meters, with a collection of 300,000 paper books and 290,000 electronic books. The college is a comprehensive higher vocational college with engineering as the main discipline and professional settings including four major disciplines of engineering, management, economics and art. It has teaching units such as the Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, the Department of Finance and Economics, the Department of Computer Engineering, the Department of Art Education, and the Public Teaching Department. It offers more than 20 majors, including calligraphy, drone application, flight attendant, and computer network technology. Among them, calligraphy is a demonstration specialty for the inheritance and innovation of ethnic culture in Hebei Province, welding technology and automation, and numerical control technology are key majors supported by the central government, and accounting is a key specialty in Hebei Province. In 2017, the college was rated as a high-skilled talent training base in Hebei Province by the Department of Human Resources and Social Security and the Department of Finance of Hebei Province.
