· A profound history of schooling: Shazhou Vocational and Technical College was founded in 1984. It is a public general higher vocational college. As the first county-run university in the country, it has been recorded in the history of higher education in China. Hu Yaobang, then General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, said, "Shazhou Vocational and Technical College is like the Yangtze River, with endless talents coming." Qian Weichang, a famous scientist and educator, has served as the honorary dean for a long time since its opening.
