Tibet Police College, its predecessor was the Tibetan Public Security Training Course established in September 1956. From July 1957 to March 1959, with the approval of the State Council, he moved to Beijing and established a Tibetan class at the Central People's Police College (now the Public Security University). In April 1960, the Tibetan class of the Central People's Public Security College moved back to Lhasa to run a school, called the Autonomous Region Public Security School. In December 1974, it was restored to the Tibet Autonomous Region Political and Legal Cadre School. In November 1980, with the approval of the Tibet Autonomous Region Government, it was renamed the Tibet Autonomous Region People's Police School, affiliated to the Autonomous Region Public Security Department, and officially launched academic education. On April 16, 2003, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, it was transformed into the Tibetan Police College. On September 8 of the same year, it was listed and enrollment began. Tibet Police College is a fully funded public institution under the political and legal order, organized at the deputy department level, and is under the supervision of the Public Security Department of the Tibet Autonomous Region.
