Shanxi Sports Vocational College was established on April 14, 2004 with the approval of the Shanxi Provincial People's Government. The superior department is the Shanxi Provincial Sports Bureau. The college is currently the only sports vocational college in Shanxi Province, and is also a high-level sports reserve talent training base for the Olympic strategic layout of the State Sports General Administration. At present, the number of students in the college has reached more than 3,000. The college currently has 8 party and government management departments, 2 mass organizations, 7 teaching departments, and 3 teaching support centers. The current leadership team of the college has a total of 6 people, with a total of 18 middle-level full-time cadres (deputy division level) and 24 middle-level deputy cadres (section level). The college currently has 194 registered employees, including 147 full-time teachers and coaches. Among the professional and technical personnel, there are 49 senior titles (3 professors, 37 associate professors; 7 senior coaches, 2 deputy senior professional and technical personnel), 73 intermediate titles, and 34 junior titles. Among the full-time teachers, there is 1 doctoral degree and 85 have obtained master's degrees. Our college has 2 international referees and 9 national referees. Among the "three teams", there are 13 full-time counselors, 6 full-time organizers, and 7 ideological and political teachers. In terms of professional settings, the college cooperates with Shanxi University to carry out full-time undergraduate education in sports training; the junior college level now offers sports training, social sports, leisure sports, golf sports and management, traditional ethnic sports, sports art performances, sports operations and management, sports health and rehabilitation, marketing, e-sports sports and management, fitness guidance and management, international standard dance, dance performance, infant care services and management, flight attendants, civil aviation air security, civil aviation safety technology management, aviation logistics management, broadcasting and hosting (sports commentary direction), sports data analysis, physical training, drone application technology, among which there are also five-year systems: sports training, sports health and rehabilitation and other 24 majors. At the technical secondary school level, there are two majors: sports training (three-year and five-year) and sports health and rehabilitation (three-year). In addition, the college also undertakes the teaching task of the Shanxi Correspondence Station of Beijing Sports University. The college is not only an important training base for competitive sports reserve talents in Shanxi Province, but also a high-level sports reserve talent base that is a key focus of the National Sports Administration's Olympic strategy. Some projects directly represent Shanxi in participating in the National Games. The college currently covers an actual area of 173.75 acres, and the total area of various buildings on campus is about 29,200 square meters.
