Heilongjiang Energy Vocational College is a public full-time general higher vocational college in Heilongjiang Province, under the management of Shuangyashan Municipal People's Government. The predecessor of the school was founded in November 1949 and has a 73-year history of running schools. The campus covers an area of 273,000 square meters and a building area of 132,500 square meters. The teaching instruments and equipment are advanced, with a total value of 60.44 million yuan; the total fixed assets exceed 1 billion yuan; 34 majors such as mechatronics technology (electrical explosion-proof technology direction), coal mine intelligent mining technology, big data and financial management, safety technology and management are opened; there are 89 various training rooms; there are more than 7,000 students. Our school is a training base for electrical explosion-proof technical skills talents in China, the chairman unit of the National Explosion-proof Electrical Appliances Vocational Education Group, a member unit of the China Vocational Education International Cooperation Alliance, an executive director unit of the China Coal Vocational Education Association, a vice chairman unit of the National Coal Vocational Education Group, and the chairman unit of the Heilongjiang Coal-Electrification Vocational Education Group. It is a training base for high-skilled talents in the province and a safety production education and training base in Heilongjiang Province. Our school takes higher vocational (college) education and secondary vocational education as the main body, supplemented by skills training, and has the functions of adult undergraduate (specialty) education and secondary vocational education, forming a multi-type and multi-level school-running pattern with academic education and non-academic education and training coexisting, full-time education and correspondence education, and online distance education. The majors in coal and explosion-proof electrical appliance manufacturing have the qualifications for primary, intermediate and advanced vocational skills appraisal of this occupation. The school's electrical explosion-proof technology major is leading the country, the safety technology and management major is recognized as a national high-level backbone major, the construction of intelligent coal mining technology major is at the forefront of the country, and the social influence of the preschool education major is increasing. In 2018, the four major professional clusters of energy development and utilization, electrical explosion-proof technology, safety technology and management, and modern coal chemical industry were included in the key support projects of colleges and universities in the province by the Provincial Department of Education; in 2019, they were included in the key support projects of the "Implementation Plan for Accelerating the Modernization of Education in Heilongjiang Province". At the same time, our school was identified as the supporting college for the deep processing project of resources for vocational colleges in Heilongjiang Province to serve the "six strong provinces" construction. In August 2018, it was selected as a national modern apprenticeship pilot unit; in December 2019, it was selected as a provincial demonstrative vocational education group (alliance) cultivation unit. The Heilongjiang Provincial Development and Reform Commission, the Department of Industry and Information Technology, the Department of Education and other 8 departments jointly issued the "Implementation Opinions on Accelerating the Intelligent Development of Coal Mines in Heilongjiang Province" (Heilongjiang Development and Reform Regulations [2021] No. 1), proposing to "strengthen the cultivation of intelligent talents, support the school-enterprise cooperation between coal mining enterprises and Heilongjiang Energy Vocational College, change enrollment to recruitment, deepen the integration of production and education, and train skilled talents for the intelligent construction of coal mines". Our school has established "three service orientations" to serve the explosion-proof electrical appliance manufacturing and explosion-proof electrical appliance use industries nationwide, serve the coal-to-electricity and solar photovoltaic and other new energy industries throughout the province, and serve the regional economic and social development in Shuangyashan City. In June 2021, the National Explosion-proof Electrical Appliance Vocational Education Group, which was led by our school, was selected into the second batch of demonstrative vocational education groups (alliances). In October 2021, the Smart Mine professional group was selected into the second round of high-level professional group construction projects in the province; the Smart Mine Virtual Simulation Training Base was identified by the Provincial Department of Education as the first batch of vocational education demonstration virtual simulation training base cultivation projects in the province.
