Nanchang Health Vocational and Technical College is a full-time public general higher vocational college under the jurisdiction of Nanchang City. It was established in 2020 and enrolled students for the first time in the fall of that year. There are currently three campuses: Cuiyan Road, Shangyingfang, and Jiulong Lake. There are "four departments and three divisions", namely the Department of Health Care, the Department of Nursing, the Department of Medical Technology, the Department of Food and Drugs, the Department of Ideological and Political Affairs, the Department of Public Culture, and the Department of Basic Medicine. Currently, there are 9 majors, including Chinese medicine rehabilitation technology, rehabilitation therapy technology, nursing, midwifery, elderly care and management, oral medicine technology, medical cosmetology technology, pharmacy, and Chinese medicine. The college has more than 50 off-campus internship teaching bases and is equipped with a second-class A affiliated hospital. The college covers an area of 713 acres and a total construction area of 390,000 square meters; the current teaching equipment is worth nearly 40 million yuan, and there are more than 1.3 million books; there are 3,611 students; there are 198 teachers, including 46 teachers with senior professional titles, 57 teachers with master's degrees or above, and 77 dual-qualified teachers. The college aims to build a regional "base for the cultivation of health care talents, an engine for the development of the health care industry, and a highland for the research of health care theory". It is based in Nanchang, faces the grassroots, radiates to the surrounding areas, focuses on the big health industry, and strives to build a health-related higher vocational and technical college with dislocated development, distinctive characteristics, first-class in the province, and well-known nationwide to cultivate high-quality technical and skilled talents. The college consciously adapts to the trend of changes in the national population structure, focuses on the requirements of all-round and full-cycle health services, connects with the needs of economic and social development, and actively explores the new school-enterprise cooperation model of "teaching, service, and research and development" and the construction of a "big health +" education model, and actively cultivates the characteristics of talent cultivation such as blind massage, infant and child care, and oral care. Since September 2020, the college has won 1 national teacher award, 11 provincial teacher awards, 9 national student awards, and more than 60 provincial student awards. The college's healthy youth volunteer service team was selected as a national demonstration team for the special action of the "Duxing Plan" for rural revitalization in the summer of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League. The case submitted by the college, "Responsibility and Love Concert Education and Service", was selected into the list of excellent cases of national social psychological service system construction.
