Jingdezhen Ceramics Vocational and Technical College is a private college approved by the Ministry of Education. It was founded in July 2011 and is located in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi Province, a national historical and cultural city. Since its establishment, the school has adhered to the school motto of "virtue, ability, inspiration, and innovation", with the goal of building a high-level ceramic vocational university, serving the ceramic industry and local economic and social development as its purpose, cultivating applied technical talents who are adapted to the development of the ceramic industry and regional economic development, and who are comprehensively developed in morality, intelligence, physical fitness, beauty, and labor, and provide intellectual support for the joint construction of the national vocational education innovation and development highland and the Jingdezhen National Ceramic Culture Inheritance and Innovation Experimental Zone by the ministry and the province. The school is located at No. 119, Xianya Road, Fuliang County, Jingdezhen City, Jiangxi Province, covering an area of 258,000 square meters and a school building area of 88,700 square meters. The school currently has 16 administrative departments, 12 party and mass departments, and 5 party branches. It has 7 secondary colleges (departments) including the Intangible Cultural Heritage College, Ceramic Art College, Art and Design College, Information Technology College, International Education College, Continuing Education College, and Five-Year College Department, as well as 2 teaching departments including the Basic Courses Department and the Ideological and Political Department. It has 34 majors and directions, including calligraphy art, ceramic design and crafts, game art design, product design, environmental art design, software technology, mobile Internet application technology, marketing, and e-commerce. There are 6,324 full-time students and 357 full-time teachers, of which 20.4% have postgraduate degrees and 21.8% have associate senior professional titles or above. There are 13 Jiangxi Ceramic Art Masters, Jiangxi Arts and Crafts Artists, 22 intangible cultural heritage inheritors, and many teachers have won honorary titles such as National Light Industry Technical Expert, Jiangxi "May 1st" Women's Model, and Jingdezhen May 1st Labor Medal. It has a national-level production-education integration training base, a Chinese ceramic vocational skills training base, a "1+X" certificate system pilot college, a Jiangxi veterans' employment and entrepreneurship base, a Jingdezhen Ceramic Culture Inheritance Experimental Zone Training Base, a Jingdezhen Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Demonstration Base, a Jingdezhen Entrepreneurship Training Designated Institution, and a Jingdezhen Ceramic Packaging Design and R&D Base. The school attaches great importance to teaching and scientific research, and the teaching quality is constantly improving. The scientific research results are fruitful, and it has won more than 300 awards at the municipal level and above, including 1 provincial first prize and 1 second prize for teaching achievements, 1 Jiangxi Provincial Art Planning Project, 14 Jiangxi Higher Education Teaching Reform Research Projects, 1 Jiangxi Provincial Party Building Research Project Key Project, 4 General Projects, and 2 Jiangxi Higher Education (Higher Vocational College) Provincial Quality Resource Sharing Courses. The school closely focuses on key industries such as culture and art, information technology, and ceramics, and has applied for more than 40 intellectual property rights and patented technologies.
