Baicheng Vocational and Technical College is a full-time public higher vocational college approved by the provincial government in March 2007 and registered by the Ministry of Education. The campus covers an area of 180,000 square meters and a building area of 81,000 square meters. The college currently has 301 faculty members, including 163 full-time teachers, 32 professors, 115 teachers with associate senior professional titles, 116 "double-qualified" teachers, and 71 master's students. There are 10 teaching departments (divisions): Art Education Department, Teacher Education Department, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Department, Construction Engineering Department, Automobile Engineering Department, Information Engineering Department, Biochemical Engineering Department, Economic Management Department, Basic Department, and Political Teaching and Research Department. There are currently 24 majors, including preschool education, primary school education, mechatronics technology, automobile marketing and service, road and bridge engineering technology, and modern educational technology. Among them, mechatronics technology has been rated as a provincial brand major. The college has 36 on-campus experimental training rooms such as the Engineering Training Center, Automotive Transportation Laboratory, and Construction Engineering Laboratory, and 40 off-campus training bases based on leading enterprises in Baicheng City, which can meet the on-campus and off-campus experimental training needs of students of various majors. It is currently recruiting students from 18 provinces across the country, with 3,518 students on campus. The college cooperates with Beijing Zhongde Nuohao Education Investment Co., Ltd., Jilin Meihua Amino Acid Co., Ltd., Baicheng Energy Investment and Development Co., Ltd., FAW Jilin Co., Ltd., and China Ordnance Group Baicheng Zhongyi Precision Forging Co., Ltd. to run schools. The student employment rate has remained stable at more than 90%, and a large number of skilled talents have been trained for local economic construction. The college's school-running quality has been continuously recognized by the society. It has been identified as a vocational skills training base for employees in Jilin Province by the Jilin Provincial Federation of Trade Unions; it has been jointly selected as an advanced unit of vocational education in the province by five departments including the Provincial Department of Education, Development and Reform Commission, Department of Finance, Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, and Provincial Agricultural Committee.
