Inner Mongolia Ethnic Preschool Teachers College was founded in 1980, then named Yikezhao League Ethnic Teachers School. In 1989, it was renamed Inner Mongolia Ethnic Preschool Teachers School. In 2000, it merged with the former Yikezhao League Art School to form Inner Mongolia Ethnic Preschool Teachers Art School. In 2012, it was upgraded to a higher vocational college and is a university directly under the Ordos City. There are currently 7 teaching units with "four departments and three divisions", and 18 majors in 4 categories of public management and services, education and sports, culture and art, and medicine and health (including 10 normal majors). The preschool education major is a national backbone major, and the preschool education major group is a high-level major group in the autonomous region. Early education and art education are characteristic majors in the autonomous region. The school recruits students from 7 provinces (autonomous regions) across the country. There are currently 4,853 students and 277 full-time teachers, including 17 senior titles, 75 associate senior titles, 9 doctors, 167 masters, and 132 "double-qualified" teachers.
