I. Basic Information Chifeng Industrial Vocational and Technical College is a full-time general higher vocational college organized by the Chifeng Municipal People's Government. Its predecessor was the Zhaowuda League Agricultural and Animal Husbandry Mechanization School established in 1958. In 1988, it was renamed "Inner Mongolia Textile Industry School"; from 2004 to 2005, Chifeng Grain Workers Secondary Vocational School, Chifeng Finance and Economics School, Chifeng National Technical School, and Chifeng Gold Technical School were successively incorporated; in 2011, it was upgraded to a higher vocational college. In 2014, the school brand of "Inner Mongolia National Industrial Technician College" was added (one set of institutions with Chifeng Industrial Vocational and Technical College, two school brands) to carry out technical education; currently, the school mainly carries out academic education at the junior college, technical secondary school and technician levels, and also carries out adult continuing education, vocational training and professional skill level certification. The school has been rated as a national high-skilled talent training base (3 times), a national high-skilled talent training outstanding contribution unit, a national machinery industry 3D printing training (identification) center, an autonomous region science demonstration base, Inner Mongolia Craftsman College, Huang Yanpei Vocational Education Excellent School, Chifeng City National Unity and Progress Demonstration School. 2. School Scale The school currently has 7,827 full-time students, including 6,230 higher vocational students, 1,215 secondary vocational students, and 382 technicians. The campus covers an area of 493 acres, with a construction area of 123,000 square meters, a total fixed asset value of 250 million yuan, and a collection of 450,000 books. 3. Faculty The school currently has 470 faculty and staff, including 34 professors, 153 associate professors (senior lecturers), 300 full-time teachers, and 116 "dual-qualified" teachers. Among the teachers, one person enjoys the special allowance of the State Council, one person has won the honorary title of "Individual with Outstanding Contribution to the Cultivation of National Skilled Talents", two national-level skill masters, one autonomous region-level skill master, one autonomous region "Grassland Talent", four autonomous region teaching masters, four autonomous region teaching newcomers, two autonomous region professional leaders, one autonomous region teaching expert, and 12 autonomous region technical experts. IV. Professional Construction The school has a total of 34 higher vocational majors, 17 secondary vocational majors, and 9 technician majors. The school's education is mainly based on engineering majors. Among the 34 higher vocational majors, there are 25 majors in equipment manufacturing, electronics and information, and biology and chemical engineering, accounting for 74%. Six professional groups have been established, including mechatronics technology, big data and accounting, pharmaceutical production technology, information technology, artistic creativity, and new energy, covering multiple industries such as equipment manufacturing, finance and trade, electronics and information, energy and chemical engineering, biomedicine, and light industry and textiles. The "Mechatronics Technology" professional group is a high-level professional group construction project in the autonomous region. Mechatronics Technology and CNC Technology are the backbone majors in the autonomous region; Mechatronics Technology, Big Data and Accounting, and Pharmaceutical Production Technology are the first batch of characteristic pilot majors in vocational colleges in the autonomous region. 5. Talent Training Based on the characteristics of vocational college students who have a poor foundation in cultural courses but are flexible, have high emotional intelligence, and are willing to do things, the school has established the educational concept of "strong moral education, solid foundation, and refined skills". "Strong moral education" is mainly through the construction of the "six major campuses" of safe campus, healthy campus, hygienic campus, orderly campus, knowledge-seeking campus, and self-cultivation campus, and the construction of a book-scented campus, so as to strengthen students' ideals and beliefs and shape students' good behavior habits; "solid foundation" is mainly to establish a public foundation department and a professional foundation department, strengthen the teaching of public basic courses and professional basic courses, and lay the foundation for "refined skills"; "refined skills" is mainly to formulate a skill list, guide students to master a skill, and enhance their employment competitiveness and job adaptability. The correct school orientation and continuous quality construction have improved the school's education level. In the past three years, teachers and students have won 3 second prizes and 7 third prizes at the national level in skill competitions at all levels; 17 first prizes, 32 second prizes, and 31 third prizes at the autonomous region level; among them, in the first vocational skills competition of the autonomous region in 2022, 4 gold medals, 1 silver medal, and 1 bronze medal were won, and 4 people won the title of "technical expert in the whole region"; in the 2023 National Vocational College Skills Competition for Higher Vocational Group, the school won 1 second prize and 1 third prize, achieving a historical breakthrough. 6. Service to local development The school focuses on the key development industries of the autonomous region and Chifeng City, optimizes the professional layout, and carries out school-enterprise cooperation integrating production and education in accordance with the idea of building a professional group for one department, connecting a professional group to an industry, and connecting a major to multiple well-known companies. The school has built two industrial colleges with UFIDA Xindao Technology Co., Ltd. and Chifeng Ankuai Digital Creative Co., Ltd.; cooperated with Inner Mongolia Zhongpu Anxin Testing Co., Ltd. and Huazhong CNC Technology Co., Ltd. to build two industry-education integration training bases; and cooperated with Inner Mongolia Mingyue New Materials Co., Ltd. and Chifeng Renchuan Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. to open five "craftsman classes". A collaborative education mechanism has been initially formed in the formulation of talent training programs, curriculum construction, teaching material construction, training project development, and skill competitions. The school implements the statutory responsibilities of vocational colleges to carry out both academic education and training, and has successively issued the "Short-term Training Management Measures" and "Short-term Training Income Distribution and Use Plan", clarified incentive policies, and encouraged departments to carry out skill improvement training and apprenticeship training. The apprenticeship system has been successfully promoted to more than 20 companies, including Inner Mongolia Puyin Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Inner Mongolia Dadi Yuntian Chemical Co., Ltd., and Chifeng Fubang Copper Co., Ltd. In response to the shortage of technical workers in local enterprises, the school has also proposed the "Chifeng Institute of Technology Plan" of "immediate handling of short-term employment needs", "precise handling of medium-term employment needs", and "systematic handling of long-term employment needs" to help the development of enterprises. In 2023, the new apprenticeship system will enroll more than 1,000 students, and in the past five years, it has provided more than 10,000 people with various types of social training each year on average.
