Dali Agricultural and Forestry Vocational and Technical College, formerly known as Yunnan Dali Agricultural School, was established in 1956. In February 2013, with the approval of the Yunnan Provincial People's Government and the filing of the Ministry of Education, Dali Agricultural and Forestry Vocational and Technical College was established. The school is located in the ancient city of Dali, a national scenic spot, an excellent tourist city in China, the best charming city in China, one of the top ten tourist and leisure cities in China, and the "Ancient Capital at the Crossroads of Asian Culture". It overlooks Erhai Lake in the east, Cangshan Mountain in the west, Tianlongbabu Film and Television City in the south, and Chongsheng Temple Three Pagodas in the north. The college covers an area of 216 acres, with a school building area of 76,746 square meters. The college has 69 professional experimental training rooms for physics and chemistry, soil and fertilizer, gardening, fruit and vegetable processing, baking, etc., 74 on-campus and off-campus training bases, 80 multimedia classrooms, and a collection of more than 200,000 books. It has complete network facilities, standard computer rooms, and OA, academic affairs, personnel, and student management systems. The major of food biotechnology was rated as a provincial high-level backbone major, three majors including animal husbandry and veterinary medicine were rated as state-level high-quality majors, and seven majors including horticultural technology were rated as school-level backbone (featured) majors. 10 on-campus practice bases such as orchid tissue culture and financial management VBSE have been established, and the orchid factory-based productive training base has been rated as a national-level demonstration school-enterprise co-construction productive training base. The school strengthens the integration of production and education, and school-enterprise cooperation, and has established long-term friendly cooperative relations with more than 30 well-known enterprises in and outside the province. It has carried out order talent training with enterprises such as Shennong Group, Zhengbang Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Company, and Lvxiang Agricultural Materials Company. It has opened "Shennong Class", "Zhengbang Class", "Lvxiang Class", "Huixing Class", etc., and established a comprehensive base integrating financial student training, teacher training and scientific research experiments, social services, and graduate employment.
