Henan University of Technology is located in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province. It is a multi-disciplinary university focusing on engineering and covering nine disciplines: engineering, science, economics, management, literature, agriculture, medicine, law and art. The school was founded in 1956 and its predecessors were the Central Grain Cadre School and Zhengzhou Machinery Manufacturing School. The Central Grain Cadre School was born in Beijing. It was the first grain college established in New China. It moved to Zhengzhou in 1960 and was renamed Zhengzhou Grain College and Zhengzhou Engineering College.
