The predecessor of Qiannan Nationalities Preschool Teachers College was Qiannan Guiding Normal School, which was founded in 1952 and is a key normal school in Guizhou Province. In 1988, it was rated as one of the top 100 normal schools in China by the Ministry of Education. In 2002, with the approval of the Qiannan Prefecture Government, it added the name of "Qiannan Normal College Guiding Branch" to recruit five-year college students. In the fall of 2007, it began to recruit three-year college students starting from high school. In the same year, it jointly organized undergraduate self-examinations with Guizhou Normal University and Guizhou Normal College, covering art education, preschool education, Chinese education, English education, mathematics education, music education, physical education and other majors. In March 2014, it was approved by the provincial government and officially upgraded to a junior college. For more than 70 years, the school has paid close attention to the quality of education and teaching, paid attention to the comprehensive development of students' comprehensive qualities, cultivated and trained more than 100,000 outstanding educators, and trained a large number of business backbones such as kindergarten principals, childcare directors, primary and secondary school principals, and education management cadres for ethnic minority areas in Guizhou. 1. School Conditions The school has two campuses, the new and the old, in Guiting County. The new campus covers an area of more than 600 mu and has a construction area of nearly 350,000 square meters. The average area of teaching, experimental and administrative rooms per student is more than 20 square meters. There is one provincial preschool education open sharing training platform with complete functions, three provincial production-education integration training bases, one physical childcare service center and one kindergarten, and 180 off-campus training bases. Professional Construction The school currently has three-year junior colleges (starting from high school), five-year junior colleges (starting from junior high school), secondary vocational education, joint training of "junior college to undergraduate", and self-taught undergraduate. There are 17 specialized majors covering preschool education and art education, including 9 normal education majors including preschool education, early education, special education, art education, music education, physical education, primary school Chinese education, primary school mathematics education, and primary school English education, and 8 non-normal education majors including dance performance, music performance, environmental art design, calligraphy and painting art, infant and toddler care services and management, smart health care services and management, modern housekeeping services and management, and community management and services. The preschool education major is the first specialized major in the province to pass the national secondary certification for normal education majors.
