Tianjin Sports Vocational College was established in 2016 with the approval of the Tianjin Municipal Government and registered by the Ministry of Education. It is the first state-owned full-time general higher sports vocational college in Tianjin. The campus is located in the sports base of Tianjin Health Industry Park in Jinghai District, covering a total area of 311.5 acres and a building area of 68,632 square meters. 1. School Philosophy The college adheres to the school motto of "Mingde Jingxue, Pursuing Excellence", fully implements the education and sports policies of the Party and the State, and runs schools in accordance with the law. Against the historical background of the comprehensive development of competitive sports, mass sports, and sports industry, the college is committed to cultivating competitive sports talents with excellent athletic ability and applied talents with basic theoretical knowledge and skills in sports majors as its school-running goal. With the "three-in-one" education model of training, teaching, and scientific research, it strives to promote the organic combination of theoretical learning and practical training experience, promote the coordinated development of students' operational skills and cultural literacy, serve the social health field, and meet the diversified needs of the development of sports teams, amateur sports schools, fitness clubs and related sports industries. The college closely focuses on the diversified talent needs of the market, takes job requirements and professional skills as the basis, and takes employment and entrepreneurship as the orientation. It implements the talent training model of "combining work and study, learning and training synchronously, platform training, and modular teaching", and highlights the school-running characteristics of "multi-syllabus guidance, multi-classroom teaching, multi-ability teaching, multi-dimensional evaluation, and multi-certificate employment". It comprehensively improves students' professional skills and comprehensive quality, broadens employment channels, and lays a solid foundation for students' lifelong learning. 2. Faculty The college has a team of teachers who have been engaged in physical fitness, rehabilitation and scientific research in the national team and Tianjin's first-line sports teams for a long time, and have rich practical experience, as well as dual-teacher coaches and high-quality cultural teachers who have achieved excellent results in international and domestic competitions. The college currently has 70 full-time teachers and 16 part-time teachers. Among the 70 full-time teachers, 29 have a master's degree or above, accounting for 41%; 27 have associate senior titles or above, accounting for 39%, initially forming a teaching team with a reasonable structure, strong business capabilities, and a combination of full-time and part-time teachers. III. Teaching and Training Facilities The college has 5 teaching departments, 13 on-campus training rooms and multimedia classrooms, digital teaching centers, language labs, computer rooms, electronic reading rooms, libraries, lecture halls, student activity centers and other well-equipped teaching facilities. Each sports project in the college has its own venue, with nearly 20 indoor venues and football fields, baseball and softball fields, cycling halls, shooting halls, rehabilitation centers and other first-class domestic and international venues and facilities.
