Yongzhou Normal College is a full-time public general college approved by the People's Government of Hunan Province and registered by the Ministry of Education. It was formed by the merger and upgrading of the former Daoxian Normal School and the former Qiyang Normal School. The former Daoxian Normal School was founded in 1958, and the former Qiyang Normal School was founded in 1979, with a history of 65 years of normal education.
