Shanghai Minhang Vocational and Technical College is a full-time junior college-level new type of higher vocational and technical school registered with the Ministry of Education, approved by the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, and sponsored by the Minhang District People's Government. The college adheres to the school motto of "cultivating morality and dedication, striving for excellence", and insists on serving the all-round development of students and economic and social development. It is located in the advanced manufacturing cluster area in the southern part of Minhang, adjacent to famous universities, research institutions and many Fortune 500 companies such as Shanghai Jiaotong University, East China Normal University, and Shanghai Academy of Aerospace. The college currently plans to build 9 majors including intelligent electromechanical technology, industrial robot technology, new energy vehicle detection and maintenance technology, building intelligent engineering technology, architectural interior design, cross-border e-commerce, e-sports and management, clothing and apparel design, and infant care services and management. It provides three-year academic education for high school graduates nationwide and five-year academic education for junior high school graduates in Shanghai. In order to implement the national strategic deployment to promote the high-quality development of modern vocational education, serve the construction of Shanghai's "five centers" and Minhang's "South Manufacturing and North Service" industrial layout, and cultivate high-quality applied technical and skilled talents required for regional economic construction and social development, the Minhang District People's Government further deepened the strategic cooperation between the district and the school, actively introduced the high-quality educational resources and advanced management concepts of Shanghai Jiaotong University, and supported the college in school management, professional construction, talent training, resource sharing and other aspects, and accelerated the development of higher vocational education in Minhang District.
