Xinyang Vocational College of Art is a full-time higher vocational college established in 2021 with the approval of the Henan Provincial People's Government, filed with the Ministry of Education, and organized by the Xinyang Municipal People's Government. The school inherits the famous Huangchuan Normal School in southern Henan with a 117-year history of running schools and the Xinyang Industrial School with a 46-year history of running engineering education. The school has a "one school, two places and three districts" school-running pattern, with a total land area of 1,420 acres for the three campuses. The main campus is located in Yangshan New District, Xinyang City, Henan Province, the "Mountain and Water Tea Capital", with a planned land area of 1,200 acres, a building area of 400,000 square meters, and a student scale of 16,000. At present, the school's first phase of construction land is 600 acres and the building area is 238,000 square meters. The school's technical secondary school department is located in Huangchuan County, Xinyang City, divided into two campuses, south and north, with a total land area of 220 acres. The school currently offers 24 majors, including preschool education, art education, music performance, calligraphy and painting, digital media art design, computer application technology, blockchain technology application, software technology, online marketing and live e-commerce, e-commerce, study tour management and services, emergency rescue technology, sports art performance, electronic information engineering technology, industrial robot technology, intelligent manufacturing equipment technology, furniture design and manufacturing, new energy vehicle technology, integrated media technology and operation, community management and services.
