Qingdao Agricultural University was founded in 1951. It has Chengyang, Pingdu, Laiyang, Blue Valley campuses and a modern agricultural science and technology service center (Jiaozhou). The school covers a total area of more than 6,400 acres, with a total building area of more than 1.1 million square meters and a total value of 923 million yuan in equipment. In the long-term practice of running schools, the school has created the school motto of "virtue, erudition, practice, and ambition" and the school spirit of "diligence, rigor, pragmatism, and innovation", forming the school characteristics of "devoting oneself to agriculture, rural areas, and farmers, diligence and pragmatism, self-improvement, pursuit of excellence, and cultivating high-quality application-oriented talents". Taking Shandong as the base, the footprints of social services have reached 26 provinces (municipalities, autonomous regions) including Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang, and Gansu.
