Fangchenggang Vocational and Technical College (code: 14762) is located at the southwestern end of the coastline of mainland China, connected to the sea, land and river of ASEAN, the main channel to the sea in southwest China, and the largest port in the west - Fangchenggang City. Fangchenggang Vocational and Technical College was established in March 2021 with the approval of the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is a national public full-time higher vocational college. The school is adjacent to the Xiwan Cross-sea Bridge, with convenient transportation and beautiful environment. The planned land area is 1,000 acres. At present, it covers an area of 600 acres, 300 acres have been developed and utilized, and the building area is 154,000 square meters. At present, there are 4 teaching buildings, 1 library, 1 college student activity center, 1 training building, 1 multi-functional indoor sports venue and 3 outdoor sports fields, 8 student apartments, 1 teacher turnover house, and 1 canteen. The school has distinctive characteristics of modern port-based industries and sea-oriented economic industries. It closely revolves around Fangchenggang City’s “12345” economic and social development ideas, takes the International Medical Open Experimental Zone as the core, relies on the strategic positioning of modern port-based industrial city construction, and China-ASEAN Industrial Cooperation Zone, National Border Tourism Experimental Zone, Border Financial Comprehensive Reform Experimental Zone, National Fishing Port Economic Zone, Dongxing National Key Development and Opening Experimental Zone and other national platforms. It has set up four teaching departments, including the Department of Intelligent Manufacturing and Information Engineering, the Department of Medicine and Health Care, the Department of Ocean and Fisheries, and the Department of Economic Management. It has opened mechatronics technology, mechatronics technology (equipment maintenance direction), industrial robot technology, computer application technology, Internet of Things application technology, software technology, software technology (big data application development direction), Chinese medicine health care, infant and child care services and management, aquaculture technology, aquaculture technology (aquatic animal medicine direction), modern logistics management, tourism management, e-commerce, big data and accounting, financial services and management, art design and other 14 majors and 3 professional directions. Four majors, including mechatronics technology, infant care services and management, computer application technology, and modern logistics management, have been listed as demonstration specialty and training base construction projects by the Autonomous Region Education Department. The project construction is in good condition, and the quality of professional construction and talent training is constantly improving. The school currently has 6,645 full-time students and 657 open university students (continuing education), with a total of 7,302 students.
