Ningxia Preschool Teachers College (abbreviated as Ningxia Preschool College) is the only general college in Ningxia that specializes in training preschool teachers. It is the location of Ningxia Preschool Teachers Education and Training Center and the executive unit of Ningxia Preschool Education Industry Steering Committee. It undertakes the main task of training and training preschool teachers in the region and is known as the "cradle of preschool education professional talent training in Ningxia". The school was founded in 1975 and has a 44-year history of running schools. It was upgraded to a higher vocational college in February 2014. The school covers an area of 516 acres and a building area of 184,900 square meters. The hardware facilities basically meet the undergraduate school standards and are at the leading level of similar colleges in the country. The school currently has 4,581 students and 278 faculty and staff. Among them, 178 are on the payroll, 87 are government-purchased service personnel (including 73 full-time teachers and 10 counselors), and 13 are external faculty and staff. There are 223 full-time teachers (including 150 on the payroll, 73 government-purchased service personnel, and 1 external teacher). Among the full-time teachers, there are 5 professors, 40 associate professors, 78 lecturers, 3 doctoral students, 127 master students, and 3 doctoral students. Among the full-time teachers, there are 103 "double-qualified" teachers and teachers with double-qualified qualifications. One person enjoys special allowances from the State Council and the Autonomous Region Government, one person receives the May 1st Labor Medal of the Autonomous Region, two people receive the Autonomous Region Youth Outstanding Talent Training Project, one person is the host of the Autonomous Region Master Studio, one person receives special allowances from the Yinchuan Municipal Government, two people are "Fengcheng Masters" in Yinchuan, 20 people are in the Yinchuan Academic and Technical Leader Reserve Project, and three people are national Mandarin testers. The school is mainly full-time general higher vocational education, with three academic systems: 3-year college, 2-year college, and 5-year college. There are 8 majors, including preschool education, early education, primary education, science education, music education, art education, English education, and special education. Among them, preschool education is a high-level construction major in the autonomous region, and art education and English education are the backbone majors in Yinchuan. Since its establishment, the school has trained more than 30,000 talents of various types, mainly teachers, for the country. After the upgrade, the school holds high the great banner of socialism with Chinese characteristics, adheres to the socialist direction of running schools, fully implements the party's education policies, adheres to the fundamental task of "establishing morality and cultivating people", and takes the "1134" project, the construction of "four systems", and the "four-oriented" school-running philosophy as guidance.
