Yiyang Normal College is a full-time public general college approved by the People's Government of Hunan Province and registered by the Ministry of Education. The school was born out of Longzhou Academy founded in 1551, built on the basis of Yiyang County Longzhou Normal School renamed in 1925, and started from Yiyang Normal School of Hunan Province named on October 1, 1949. After nearly a hundred years of wind and rain, the school has nurtured an excellent normal culture and formed a mature concept and model of teacher training and training, which has an important position in the history of normal education in Hunan. In 2021, based on the century-old normal school, Yiyang Normal College was successfully approved as a college-level college, starting a new journey.
