Pingdingshan Vocational College of Culture and Art was established in 2014. It is a full-time private general vocational college approved by the Henan Provincial People's Government, registered by the Ministry of Education, and included in the unified enrollment plan of the national college entrance examination. The college is located in Baofeng County, Pingdingshan City, Henan Province, which is an excellent tourist city, a national garden city, and a national health city in China. It has a superior location and convenient transportation. The Jiaozhili Railway and the Mengbao Railway intersect here. It is known as the "Hometown of Quyi" and the "Hometown of Magic". The Majie Book Club has a history of more than 800 years and is the "largest folk art conference in the world". Baofeng magic originated in the Tang and Song Dynasties and flourished today. The performance groups and practitioners account for more than half of the country. With the development of economy and society, the profound cultural heritage has nurtured and strengthened the local cultural industry. In order to carry forward excellent culture, promote the high-quality development of the cultural and art industry, and cultivate high-quality cultural and art talents, Pingdingshan Vocational College of Culture and Art came into being. The college has six majors: digital media art design, international standard dance, e-commerce, big data and accounting, computer application technology, and automobile inspection and maintenance technology. With the improvement of school conditions and the expansion of school models, the college will establish a professional group that is closely connected with the industrial chain and innovation chain of Pingdingshan City. On the basis of the characteristic majors of culture and art, it will vigorously develop related majors such as advanced manufacturing and modern service industries, and focus on the development of big data, artificial intelligence, health care, childcare and other scarce majors. Based in Pingdingshan, it serves the whole province and radiates the whole country to cultivate excellent compound talents. The college has an efficient management team and a high-quality teaching team. The new campus is located on the south side of the eastern section of Xingbao Road in Baofeng County, across the road from Pingdingshan Vocational and Technical College. The first phase covers an area of about 380 acres, and the planning and design scheme has been preliminarily completed. The planned and designed total floor area is 168,676.48 square meters, with high-standard construction such as teaching and training buildings, library and office complex buildings, academic exchange centers, dormitory buildings, student restaurants, comprehensive gymnasiums, and standard track and field stadiums, which are expected to accommodate more than 5,000 students.
