Shenyang University of Chemical Technology is a provincial undergraduate university. It was founded in 1952 and was named Shenyang Chemical Industry Technical School. In 1958, Shenyang Institute of Chemical Technology was established. In 1960, it was renamed Liaoning University of Science and Technology. In 1978, the organizational structure of Shenyang Institute of Chemical Technology was restored and changed in 2010. is the current name.
