Hefei Normal University is located in Hefei, the capital of Anhui Province. The predecessor of the school was Anhui Education College, which was founded in 1955 and converted into a provincial full-time general undergraduate college in 2007. The school is one of the first batch of "Professional Degree Graduates Serving the Special Needs of the Country" training pilot units, the first batch of "National Training Program" demonstration training project implementation units, the first batch of "Excellent Teacher Training Program" pilot units, the first batch of "Local Applied High-level University" construction universities in Anhui Province, and the Anhui Province "Three-dimensional Education" comprehensive reform pilot university. The school currently has three campuses, Jinxiu, Binhu and Sanxiaokou, with a campus area of 1,295 acres; the total value of teaching and research equipment is 235 million yuan, and there are 1.243 million paper books; there are more than 1,200 faculty members, including 116 senior professors and 368 associate professors; there are 37 talents at the provincial level or above, including 2 national 100 million engineering talents, 2 people enjoying special government allowances from the State Council, 4 second-level professors, 3 provincial Wanjiang scholars, 14 provincial academic and technical leaders and reserve candidates, 2 provincial "115" industrial innovation teams, 2 provincial special support plan innovation leaders, 2 provincial propaganda and cultural leaders, 3 young talents, 2 provincial university discipline top talents, 3 provincial university outstanding young and middle-aged backbone teachers, 36 provincial teaching teams, 27 provincial teaching masters, and 34 provincial teaching newcomers. The school currently has 14 secondary colleges, 59 undergraduate majors, and 11 master's degree graduate training directions for education. There are nearly 17,000 full-time undergraduates, postgraduates and international students; 23 national and provincial first-class majors, 3 national first-class courses, 194 provincial first-class courses, 7 virtual simulation experimental teaching projects; 29 national and provincial outstanding talent training plan projects, 2 provincial talent training innovation experimental zones, 10 provincial professional comprehensive reform pilot projects, 9 provincial demonstration experiment (learning) training centers, 33 provincial school-enterprise cooperation practice education bases, and 4 provincial first-class undergraduate talent demonstration and leading bases. In recent years, it has won 5 second prizes of national teaching achievement awards and 54 provincial teaching achievement awards, including 19 special prizes and first prizes. The school has established Anhui Provincial Key Laboratory of Philosophy and Social Sciences for Youth Mental Health and Crisis Intelligent Intervention, Anhui Provincial Green Food Rural Revitalization Collaborative Technology Service Center, Anhui Blueberry Engineering Technology Research Center, Hefei Normal University Teacher Education Research Center, Soul Core DSP (Digital Signal Processor) Industrialization Research Institute, Provincial Basic Education Reform and Development Collaborative Innovation Center, Anhui Microwave and Communication Engineering Technology Research Center, Anhui Provincial Key Laboratory of Electronic Information System Simulation Design, Anhui Provincial Key Laboratory of Photoelectric Detection Science and Technology, Anhui Provincial University Joint Key Laboratory, Anhui Provincial Medicine and Food Natural Resources Development and Utilization Engineering Laboratory, Provincial Sports Health Information Monitoring Provincial Engineering Laboratory, Anhui Intelligent Security Inspection Technology Engineering Research Center and other provincial scientific research platforms 14. In the past five years, it has won 22 scientific research awards at or above the provincial level, including 2 first prizes; presided over 61 national fund projects and 530 provincial and ministerial scientific research projects; published 122 books and textbooks; and obtained 452 national patents. The school adheres to the fundamental principle of cultivating people with moral integrity, actively builds a talent training model of "one full process, two-party cooperation, and three-line collaboration" to strengthen the comprehensive quality training of students. Over the past 60 years, the school has trained more than 80,000 high-level professionals and 180,000 principals and teachers of primary and secondary schools, including a large number of outstanding alumni such as Gao Hongjun, former vice president and academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The quality of students has been continuously improved. In 2023, all majors will be included in the first batch of enrollment in Anhui Province, and the admission line for liberal arts and science will be 11 points and 13 points higher than the first batch of provincial control lines respectively. The graduation destination implementation rate of undergraduate graduates in 2022 is 95%. The school has been successively rated as "National Excellent Unit for College Students' Summer Social Practice Activities in the Countryside", the Gold Award of the Fifth China Youth Volunteer Service Project Competition, the Advanced Model of the "Four 100s" of the National Lei Feng Volunteer Service, the Excellent Project Award of China Youth Volunteers, "Anhui Province University Graduate Employment Model Unit", "Anhui Province University Graduate Employment Work Outstanding Unit and Anhui Province First Batch of Entrepreneurship College Project Approval Unit". The school inherits the tradition of normal education and creates a brand of serving Anhui basic education. The school is the "National Training Base for Backbone Teachers in Primary and Secondary Schools in the Central and Western Regions", the main expert unit for the curriculum reform of basic education in Anhui Province, and the leading unit of the "Anhui Basic Education Development Alliance". It has the Anhui Student Mental Health Education Management Platform, the Anhui Primary and Secondary School Teachers Continuing Education Center, the Anhui Education Management Cadre Training and Guidance Center, and the Anhui Teacher Qualification Certification Center. It has cooperated with Ming Chuan University in Taiwan to establish the "Anhui Education Center"; it has co-built the "Hefei Basic Education Research Institute" with the Hefei Municipal Government, and actively promoted cooperation matters such as the co-construction of the Hefei Normal University Affiliated Education Group. The school actively connects and serves emerging industries and local pillar industries, deepens industry-university-research cooperation, focuses on the construction of teacher education, electronic information, and biomedicine disciplines and professional groups, and strives to cultivate cultural industry and economic management disciplines and professional groups. The school has co-built the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute, the "Soul Core" DSP Laboratory, the Biomedical Industry College, the Hefei Digital Cultural and Creative Industry R&D Center, and the Financial Laboratory with the Hefei Comprehensive National Science Center, Anke Bio, Cube Pharmaceuticals, and Hefei Xingtai Group; and has cooperated with Hefei City, Hefei Economic Development Zone and Baohe District, Jinzhai County, Anhui Guoyuan Securities, Anhui Xinhua Distribution Group, China Sports Industry, Lianbao Electronics, etc. to build more than 300 school-enterprise, school-enterprise, industry-university-research cooperation education bases. The school actively promotes foreign cooperation in running schools, and cooperates with Shannon University of Technology in Ireland to carry out Sino-foreign cooperative education projects; conducts student exchanges and teacher exchanges with universities in 8 countries and regions, including the University of Nebrija in Spain and the City University of Malaysia; recruits and trains the first batch of international students in 2022; cooperates with Ming Chuan University in Taiwan to build Liu Ming Chuan College, and conducts student exchange activities with I-Shou University in Taiwan. The school actively builds a campus culture of Tao Xingzhi with the core of "Love the world, unity of knowledge and action". The Anhui Tao Xingzhi Research Association is affiliated to our school. The "Double Hundred Plan" of teachers entering 100 enterprises and students opening 100 "Xingzhi Schools" during the summer vacation won the "National College Campus Culture Construction Outstanding Achievement Award". The school is the first "National Advanced Unit for Spiritual Civilization Construction", the third and fourth "National Civilized Unit", the sixth to tenth "Provincial Civilized Unit", the Provincial Civilized Campus, the Hefei Civilized Campus, and the Advanced Collective of Ideological and Political Work in Anhui Province's Colleges and Universities.
