Lishui University is a public full-time college with the right to confer master's degrees. It is located in Lishui City, Zhejiang Province, which is known as "China's No. 1 Ecological City". The history of the school can be traced back to the Chuzhou Junior Normal School founded under the guidance of Mr. Sun Yirang, a master of Confucian classics, in 1907. It has undergone nine name changes, six mergers, and four changes of school site. In the 117-year history of running schools, Lishui University has always adhered to the school motto of "Mingde Duxing", passed on the torch, and gradually formed the Lishui University spirit of "loving the country and the school, being realistic and first, and being self-reliant and self-reliant". In 2004, on the basis of Lishui Normal College, it was upgraded and renamed Lishui University with the approval of the Ministry of Education. It has passed the undergraduate teaching qualification evaluation and undergraduate teaching work review and evaluation of the Ministry of Education, and was listed as a pilot demonstration school for application-oriented construction in Zhejiang Province. Lishui University is a comprehensive and applied university with distinctive characteristics, equal emphasis on liberal arts and sciences, and rapid development of emerging disciplines. The disciplines cover 11 categories, including law, economics, education, literature, science, engineering, agriculture, medicine, management, art, and interdisciplinary disciplines. Among them, there are 5 provincial first-class disciplines in the "14th Five-Year Plan" (ethnology, education, agricultural resources and environment, intelligent science and technology, and stomatology); there are 47 undergraduate majors, 2 national first-class undergraduate majors, 11 provincial first-class undergraduate majors, 2 advantageous majors, and 7 characteristic majors.
