Wanxi University is a provincial comprehensive public undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education. The school's history can be traced back to the "Anhui Provincial Third Class Agricultural School" founded by Mr. Zhu Yunshan, former Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and Chairman of the Central Committee of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang in 1918. The school is located in Lu'an, a central city in the Dabie Mountain region with a long history and culture and a profound red heritage. The school is a project construction unit of Anhui Province's local applied high-level university, a project construction unit of Anhui Province's master's degree authorization, a "national expert service base" of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, a station-setting unit of Anhui Province's postdoctoral research workstation, an advanced collective in poverty alleviation in Anhui Province, a pioneering university in the construction of curriculum ideological and political education in Anhui Province, and the first civilized campus in Anhui Province.
