Chongqing Second Normal University is a full-time general undergraduate normal college with a focus on education, coordinated development of multiple disciplines, and distinctive features of serving the growth of children aged 0 to 12 and collaborative innovation in teacher education. The school began as the Chongqing Secondary School Teachers’ Amateur Training School established in 1954. In 1973, it was renamed Chongqing Teachers’ Training College. In 1984, it was merged and established as Chongqing Institute of Education. In 2012, it was restructured into Chongqing Second Normal College. In 2015, it was awarded a bachelor’s degree.
