Shandong Agricultural Engineering College is a provincial general undergraduate college in Shandong Province. In 1953, the Shandong Provincial People's Government approved the establishment of Shandong Agricultural and Forestry Cadre School, which was divided into Shandong Agricultural Cadre School and Shandong Forestry Cadre School. In 1959, it was merged into Shandong Agricultural and Forestry Cadre School. Later, it went through the Shandong Revolutionary Committee May 7 Cadre School, Shandong Revolutionary Committee Production Command May 7 Cadre School, Shandong Provincial Organ May 7 Cadre School, Shandong Agricultural and Forestry Cadre School was restored in 1979, and was rebuilt into Shandong Agricultural Management Cadre College in 1983. In 2013, it was rebuilt into Shandong Agricultural Engineering College. Years of school-running accumulation have forged the school's fine tradition of hard work and enterprising spirit, forming the school motto of "virtue, self-reliance, truth-seeking, and practice", the school spirit of "diligence, hard work, excellence, and innovation", and the school philosophy of "taking students as the center, educating people as the foundation, seeking development through service, and strengthening connotation with characteristics". In recent years, the school's school-running level and comprehensive strength have been significantly improved, and the school-running characteristics of "integration of agriculture and industry" have been initially formed. It has been rated as an excellent university for moral education in Shandong Province and an advanced collective for promoting agriculture through science and technology in Shandong Province. School conditions: The school currently has three campuses in Jinan, Qihe, and Zibo, covering an area of 3,682.17 acres, with a total building area of 718,000 square meters, of which 360,100 square meters are for teaching and administrative use. The total value of teaching and scientific research instruments and equipment is 147.4232 million yuan. The library has 1.2389 million paper books. There are 106 laboratories and 17 on-campus internship and training bases; there are 2 Shandong Provincial General College Experimental Teaching Demonstration Centers, 3 Shandong Provincial College Key Laboratories, 1 Shandong Provincial College Characteristic Laboratory, and 1 Shandong Provincial Public Data Innovation Laboratory. It has co-built 1 academician workstation, 4 provincial engineering technology centers and engineering laboratories, 2 provincial collaborative innovation centers, and 2 department-level scientific research platforms, including the Agricultural Carbon Neutral Intelligent Equipment Engineering Research Center and the Gaoqing Black Cattle Product Processing and Quality Improvement Technology Center, and the Shandong Provincial Industrial System Sheep Industry Environmental Control Expert Team, Shandong Provincial Industrial System Vegetable Storage and Processing Expert Team, Shandong Provincial Industrial System Pasture Pest and Weed Control Expert Team and other 6 provincial innovation teams. There are 128 off-campus practical teaching bases and 47 social practice bases. Faculty: There are 949 faculty members, including 748 full-time teachers, 280 professors and associate professors, and 797 masters and above.
