Fujian Polytechnic Normal University is a public undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education. It is established on the basis of the Fuqing Branch of Fujian Normal University and integrated with the educational resources of Fujian Qiaoxing Light Industry School. It is organized by the Fujian Provincial People's Government. Since 2002, it has started undergraduate education. It mainly cultivates high-quality application-oriented, technical and skilled talents and vocational education teachers. It is the only university in Fujian Province that is positioned to cultivate vocational teachers. The school is located on the eastern coast of Fujian, in the urban area of Fuqing, a thousand-year-old ancient town, a new modern port industrial city, and a famous hometown of overseas Chinese in China. It is the first and second "civilized campus" in Fujian Province, and was selected as the second batch of "three-dimensional education" comprehensive reform pilot universities in Fujian Province. It cooperates with the Fuqing Municipal People's Government, Xiamen Municipal Education Bureau, etc. to build 8 secondary vocational schools, 15 secondary vocational base schools, 1 affiliated middle school, and 1 affiliated primary school. School scale: There are currently Wumashan Campus and Shizhushan Campus, and the campus covers an area of nearly 1,200 acres. It has 13 secondary colleges, 39 undergraduate majors (including 6 provincial first-class undergraduate major construction sites), 3 master's degree cultivation disciplines, 6 master's joint training programs, and nearly 11,600 full-time students. School conditions: complete teaching and scientific research equipment, rich collection of books (including electronic books). It has a college student innovation and entrepreneurship incubation base and Fuzhou Entrepreneurship and Innovation Demonstration Center. It has various provincial teaching and scientific research experimental platforms, teaching demonstration centers, and off-campus professional internship and training bases (centers). It has a national vocational skills appraisal station, a national vocational literacy training project teaching base, a provincial vocational teacher training center, and a provincial continuing education base. It took the lead in establishing the Fujian Vocational Education Teacher Development Alliance, which serves as the permanent chairman unit. The alliance has more than 138 members, basically covering all the secondary vocational schools in the province. Faculty team: There are nearly 600 full-time teachers. Among them, 86.7% have a master's degree or above; 43.3% have senior professional titles. It has leading talents of the national "Ten Thousand Talents Plan", experts enjoying special government allowances from the State Council, national "Four-Batch Talents", Fujian Province Class A Talents, and professors of the "Minjiang Scholars Award Program". Scientific research: It has established the provincial "Belt and Road" foreign cooperation science and technology innovation platform, the provincial secondary vocational moral education research center, the provincial college scientific research innovation platform, and the Fuzhou expert workstation, industry technology innovation center and other research institutions. It has a Japanese Research Center, a China-Indonesia Industrial Cooperation Research Center, a Huangbo Culture and Maritime Silk Road Research Institute, a Vocational Education High-Quality Development Research Institute, a Overseas Chinese and Integration of Chinese and Foreign Culture Research Center, Southeast Foreign Communication and English Writing Center, and Arts and Crafts Research Institute. In recent years, it has undertaken 190 national, provincial and ministerial vertical projects, more than 550 government, enterprise and institution commissioned projects, and obtained more than 400 authorized patents. Campus Culture: Fujian has established the Demonstration Base of Excellent Traditional Chinese Culture Education in Colleges and Universities, the "Truth-Seeking Lecture Hall", an excellent forum for philosophy and social sciences in colleges and universities in Fujian Province, and the "Hundred People Forum", a high-end talent exchange platform for experts in the "Hundred Talents Program" in Fujian Province. It has established the only college equestrian team in the province's colleges and universities, and has a fencing branch of the Provincial College Student Sports Association. Nobel Prize winner Mo Yan, Liu Changsheng, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Qu Jinping, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Wei Haisheng, chief expert in the field of "Overseas Chinese Studies" of the National High-end Think Tank, have been guests at various forums of the school and provided guidance. Open Schooling: In recent years, the school has taken the initiative to connect with the "Belt and Road Initiative", and around the industrial needs of the "Two Countries and Two Parks" between China and Indonesia, it has actively carried out foreign exchanges and cooperation to expand the school's open schooling pattern. It has established friendly relations with more than 30 colleges and institutions in countries and regions including Indonesia, Japan, Thailand, and New Zealand, and carried out cooperation in teacher-student exchanges, talent training, and scientific research. The school is qualified to recruit foreign students, students from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas Chinese, and has recruited international students from Indonesia, Laos, Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries. Social services: Based in southeastern Fujian, deeply integrated into the regional economic and social development, closely following the needs of industry development, and cooperating with industrial parks, industrial alliances, and leading enterprises to build 7 modern industrial colleges, among which Yuanhong Food Industry College and Chemical New Materials Industry College were selected as provincial modern industrial colleges.
