Heze University is located in the beautiful "China Peony Capital" - Heze City, Shandong Province. It is a provincial full-time general undergraduate university organized by the Shandong Provincial People's Government. The predecessor of the school was the Second Normal School of Jiluyu District, which was founded in early 1949. It was rebuilt into Heze Teachers College in August 1958. In January 2002, Heze Teachers College, Education College and other five schools merged to prepare for the establishment of Heze University. In May 2004, the Ministry of Education approved Heze University as a general undergraduate university. After more than 70 years of construction and development, the school has become a multi-disciplinary and coordinated university, and has successively won the honorary titles of Provincial Civilized Unit, Provincial Garden-style Unit, Shandong Green School, and Advanced Unit of Teaching Management of Colleges and Universities in the Province.
