Xi'an Medical College is a full-time general undergraduate college organized by the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government. It consists of three campuses: Hanguang, Weiyang and Gaoxin, covering an area of 775 acres. It offers graduate education, general undergraduate education and continuing education. There are currently 852 full-time master's students, 14,288 general undergraduates, and 4,797 adult education continuing education students. History The predecessor of the school was the Shaanxi Provincial Health Technology School founded in 1951. In 1959, it was renamed Shaanxi Xi'an Health School, and on this basis, the Shaanxi Provincial Health Cadre Training College was established. In 1994, the State Education Commission approved the establishment of Shaanxi Medical College. In 2006, it was approved by the Ministry of Education to be upgraded to an undergraduate college and renamed Xi'an Medical College. In 2017, it was approved as the "Shaanxi Master's Degree Awarding Unit Project Construction Unit"; in 2018, it was determined to be a construction unit of Shaanxi Province's "First-Class Applied Undergraduate College"; in 2019, it was promoted to the first batch of undergraduate colleges in Shaanxi Province.
