Yuzhang Normal University is located in Hongjiaozhou University Park, Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province. It is a public full-time general undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education of China. It covers an area of more than 1,200 acres and currently has two campuses, Hongjiaozhou and Wanli. The school is jointly built by the province and the city, and has been identified by the Nanchang Municipal People's Government as a municipal undergraduate college with priority development. The school has been awarded the titles of Jiangxi Civilized Unit, Jiangxi Civilized Campus, and Jiangxi Safe Campus for many consecutive years. Historical evolution. The development of the school has experienced the successive leaps of the three-level normal schools in China's normal education for more than 100 years, which is a historical epitome of the development of China's normal education. Its predecessor was the Jiangxi Women's Normal School founded in 1908, the Provincial First Normal School established in 1914, and the Provincial Rural Normal School established in 1928 (later renamed the Provincial Nanchang Rural Normal School). After several changes, in 1947, the Provincial Rural Normal School, the Provincial Labor Normal School, the Provincial Social Normal School, and the Provincial Wuning Normal School (formerly the Provincial First Normal School) were merged into the Provincial Nanchang Normal School. In the same year, the Provincial Kindergarten Normal School (founded by Chen Heqin) was merged into the Provincial Nanchang Women's Normal School. In 1949, the Provincial Nanchang Normal School and the Provincial Nanchang Women's Normal School merged into the Jiangxi Nanchang Normal School. In 2000, the Nanchang Kindergarten Normal School was merged into the Nanchang Normal School. In May 2004, the Nanchang Normal School was upgraded to the Nanchang Normal College. In August 2005, Nanchang Second Normal School was merged into Nanchang Normal College. In May 2017, it was upgraded to an undergraduate college with the approval of the Ministry of Education and renamed Yuzhang Normal College, laying a new milestone in the history of the school's development. In December of the same year, Nanchang Education College was merged into Yuzhang Normal College. School philosophy.
